Martin Pieters Safaris hunts exclusively the one million-acre Omay North and South Hunting Blocks in the famous Zambezi Valley. This is one of the finest unfenced hunting areas in Africa and is known for its large concentrations of big game. Hilly terrain, river valleys and large forests make the Omay a true hunter’s dream.

Omay, Zambezi Valley

Ume: Situated on the shores of lake Kariba on the Ume river overlooking the Matusadonna mountains.

Mackenzies: Situated on the Sengwa river and far Western boundary of the concession.

Chifudze: Our main camp situated inland on the Chifudze river along a vast boundary with the Matusadonna national park.

Manuyli: Situated inland on the Ume river, this small camp offers fantastic buffalo and leopard hunting.

West Nicholson/ South East low veld

Bubiana conservancy: Nestled between the Buye and the Bubiana rivers, this area consists of granite hills and valleys and is home to the highest density of leopard in Zimbabwe, abundant plains game and luxury accommodations make this a leopard hunters dream.

Matetsi: our camp, Sekebela in the Matatesi hunting block has excellent elephant, leopard, lion, sable and buffalo as well as a variety of plains game, the area lies close to Botswana and Hwange national park as well as the famous Victoria falls.

All camps are generator powered with en suite facilities. Elephant, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo are plentiful in our big-game hunting areas. Hippo, Sable, Crocodile, Kudu, Zebra, Waterbuck, Bushbuck, Warthog and numerous other smaller species are also found here. We have access to smaller concessions where Leopard, Eland, Zebra, Kudu, Impala, Tsessebe, Wildebeest, Sable, Warthog, Duiker, Steenbok and other animals are found.

Access to this beautiful remote area is limited and most of our clients take a 90-minute charter flight by light aircraft to reach us. Road transfer is possible for a smaller fee. Harare is the closest International Airport to the area and most clients enter Zimbabwe via Harare where they will be met by the charter pilot and assisted through Customs and Immigration. Entry may also be made via Bulawayo or Victoria Falls.
